Does anyone have experience with canine diabetes? My petsitter's Lhasa Apso has just been diagnosed with diabetes, and she's very upset. From what I've read today, it seems treatable with insulin.
canine diabetes is pretty much dealt with in the same way as human diabetes with diet, exercise and insulin injections ( the owner is taught how to give the injections).
Sandy: If you want to "PM" me your e-mail address, I can e-mail you some pdf files that address lots of issues with diabetes. The articles are from the Cushings forum that I participate in. A large percentage of Cushings dogs also develop diabetes -- fortunately, Maggie, so far, is not one of them!
