Last night Shane took the dogs for a walk down this dirt road by our house. Caesar was digging in the field and a mouse ran out. He chased it down and chomped! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif Shane didn't want him to eat it so he held him upside down trying to get the mouse to fall out. (Caesar doesn't listen to the "drop it" command so we have to let gravity help. And no, we don't hold him by the legs) Finally it fell out and it wasn't dead, but it was injured. So Emma (German Shepherd X) walked up and stomped it with her paw. I think she was more curious than anything. Poor little mouse.

Our previous three dogs were very good mouse hunters, but the never ate their kill. They just waited for me or my mom to get rid of the mouse. Boeing has never got an opportunity to catch a mouse yet (they are all hunted down by my neighbor's cats that often come to our house), but I'm sure if Boeing got a chance to hunt a mouse, he'd do exactly the same thing Caesar did /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif
