What a weekend...first the Beags destroyed a stuffed bunny between them.

Then they actually caught and killed a rabbit in our yard. When I found them, Polly had the bunny in her mouth, with Georgia standing right by her with a "Mom, she took my bunny! Make her give it back!" look on her face. :angryfire: Georgia had blood on her, so I think she did catch it.

Then my DH had an ambulance call, and left the girls in the yard. Came home, and Polly had her two front feet stuck to a sticky mousetrap. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif Mineral spirits and a bath later....

Here's Polly with what's left of Fake Bunny: (notice her chewed up paws) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Georgia says "Polly, quit chewing on your feet!"

I guess the hunting instinct took over. They've been busy! I hope Pollys paws get better soon /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Our first beagle, Bilbo, once came home with a dead Hare. She ate it all but for the head, which she buried in our neighbours garden. We never knew whether it had been a wild hare or one from someones back garden. Bilbo was the only one of our beagles that was allowed to roam free. She was a terror.
Hope Pollys paws are better soon, they look very sore.

our Beagles are fenced in, it's the stupid rabbits that won't stay out our yard. :freak:
It's hard to feel sorry for the rabbits....there's lots of empty lots and woods and fields nearby...
