Hi! I'm pretty new on the website, and haven't posted before. We got Molly last week, and today she is 8 weeks old. She is great, even she likes to be the snappy Aligator. I just recognized that she has a bump on the bottom eye-lid (no idea what the name is). She seems to be fine, but as a new Beagle Mommy I worry. Is that something common?

Welcome to BW!
I haven't had a puppy in many, many (many!) years so not sure when your next (or first?) vet visit would be but I would just bring it to your vet's attention. If Molly's eye isn't red or irritated, it sounds to me like something you and your vet would keep an eye on (sorry ...) to see if anything changes in terms of growth or irritation.
When you get a chance, do post in our introduction forum and tell us all about how you came to have Molly and do post some pics -- we love pictures and, for those of who have only had adult rescues, we get our puppy fix from other's photos. You might want to give us a cuteness alert in your subject line when you post puppy pics. Many of us try to log on at work and the alert will keep our oohs and aahs to a minimum!
If you are not certain how to post pics, take a few minutes to read our how to forum where there are directions how to use the forum's file manager to post pics.

Definitely a bump -- I honestly don't think it is anything to be overly concerned about but, if it were me, I would have a vet check it out. One thing you want to avoid is having it start to itch and Molly scratching it.
Please be sure to post an update if you do go to the vet. We worry about all of our BW pups!

I'm sorry I didn't update... she has her 10 weeks vet appointment next week Monday, and I will mention it. The mark of the bump is still there, but it's not swollen, and she is fine (meaning I can touch it, and she doesn't make a sound). Besides that she is growing faster then we thought, and enjoyes her puppy life in our family
Never thought having a Beagle can be so much fun!!

Ok, we went to the doctor, and I forgot about the bump, and the doc didn't say anything. It is only a little mark left, and she doesn't care about it. Besides that she did great. When he showed me how to clean her ear she moved backwards and almost fell of the table. Besides that she had lots of kisses for the doctor and the ladies working there. It was great, and I got all my questions answered.
