Hello All,
For those of you with multiple dog homes..how long did it take for your dogs to become buddies? Eddy is 2yrs old, we expanded our family with another beagle at the end of July with a 8wk old puppy named Charlie, so he's been with little less than 2 months. Charlie is constantly at Eddy..romping and nipping..Eddy spends alot of his day trying to get away from Charlie....they play with toys together..play wrestle and romp around and chase each other..so they do play well at times..Charlie wants to play constantly..and Eddy doesn't.....I wonder.. when Charlie grows out of the puppy stage..perhaps things will settle down and Eddy can relax a bit. Any thoughts... :animal18: :animal18:

Oh my Charlie was the same way. I'm sure he is still if Marlin is still around. He gave Marlin so much a hard time, pulled his ears until he yelp, that must hurt. And pulled his tail when Charlie wants to play. Charlie would run and plunged right into Marlin's tummy. He played so rough, I felt so guilty of treating Marlin like that, he was too old to deal with a puppy. But Charlie did brought back a bit of a life, some spirit in him, he began to play chase, play ball. I guess let them rough it up, Eddy will tell Charlie when to stop, my Marlin did, growled the way I never saw him did. As if to say"LEAVE ME ALONE"! :angryfire: My Charlie would stop for a second and started the game all over again.

I used to think that Rhett played rough with Scarlett until I sat and watched them one day. I found that Scarlett is the mean on lol. Rhett will put his mouth around her but doesn't ever clamp down and he will grab at her when she tries to climb up on the couch. Scarlett on the other hand goes at Rhett with a vendeta and when she bites with her puppy teeth it doesn't feel too good. Rhett loves it though because he has someone to play with.
