Poor Bonnie has a lump on her side just behind her front leg. We went to the vets yesterday and we agreed that it should be removed so she is booked into the vets for Monday.

She has quite a few little fatty lumps that do not worry us but this one seems to be attached to the muscle and if it grows bigger could interfere with her walking so its our only real option to operate

Whilst she is under they will also check out her other lumps and remove them if it is needed. She will be a new sleek beag when its done.

Awww bless her. Sending big hugs her way for Monday.

Lilly had the exact same problem. She had a lump that was attached to her ribs just behind her front leg and when she walked you could see it moving. It started to bother her so off it came. It was just a fatty lump nothing serious but she had to have a drain put in the operation site after the op because when she walked it kept filling up with pus from the friction.

Rosa and Sherry send licks and kisses her way.

Poor Bonnie! I'm sorry she has to go "under the knife", and hope everything goes well for her, and she recovers quickly. Miss Shiloh has a large fatty lump on her chest. It looks sort of like a doorknob, and is quite noticeable. Our vet said he doesn't like to remove them unless, as in Bonnie and Lilly's case, they interfere with walking.

Poor baby!

My 12 y/o lab, Cassie, had to have a lump removed from her paw last year. It was an easy recovery and she sailed through surgery with flying colors. Hope the same happens with your Bonnie.

We will be sending good thoughts to Bonnie on Monday! Maggie has a fatty lump in exactly the same place -- it is quite large -- about the size of a tangerine. Vet doesn't want to take it off until it interferes with walking or harness. So far it just kind of rolls around as she walks!

Li'l Girl and I send best wishes for a quick recovery. Having had two lumps removed in 2007, Li'l Girl is very sympathetic, and says for Bonnie to be sure and demand extra special treatment during her recovery. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Ahhh, poor Bonnie. Booker also sends her best wishes for a quick recovery - she had a total of 10 lumps removed in 2007 (three in January then 7 in October) and wants Bonnie to know that the recover is really quick and she'll be back to feeling great in almost no time at all!
