I'm sure you all are probably tired of hearing the same old stories, but Daisy had a really rough day yesterday.
I came home from work and it was obvious that she'd had one of her episodes. She had spit up mucus and hair all over the place! She even got on the couch and did it.
She was still having the episode when I walked in so I rushed her outside while I cleaned. While she was out there she gorged herself on grass. I had given her a dose of sucralfate (on top of her usual Pepcid) but she still ate so much grass. I didn't see her throw it back up so I called the vet. The last time she didn't throw up the grass when she ate that much she ended up with diarrhea in the house. I called the vet to see what I could give her to make her throw up the grass and they said 2tsp of hydrogen peroxide. Jason picked it up on his way back from work, but by the time he got home she had fortunately already thrown all the grass up. It was about two handfuls that she had eaten.
She finally stopped the obsessive licking but I could tell she was miserable. She laid on her pillow a while and then she looked at me and came and crawled up next to me on the couch.
She's a little better today but still sounds like she's got a lot of mucus build up.
I wish I could find something to help my poor Daisy...
Anyway, thanks for listening!
