I'm sure you all are probably tired of hearing the same old stories, but Daisy had a really rough day yesterday.

I came home from work and it was obvious that she'd had one of her episodes. She had spit up mucus and hair all over the place! She even got on the couch and did it.
She was still having the episode when I walked in so I rushed her outside while I cleaned. While she was out there she gorged herself on grass. I had given her a dose of sucralfate (on top of her usual Pepcid) but she still ate so much grass. I didn't see her throw it back up so I called the vet. The last time she didn't throw up the grass when she ate that much she ended up with diarrhea in the house. I called the vet to see what I could give her to make her throw up the grass and they said 2tsp of hydrogen peroxide. Jason picked it up on his way back from work, but by the time he got home she had fortunately already thrown all the grass up. It was about two handfuls that she had eaten.
She finally stopped the obsessive licking but I could tell she was miserable. She laid on her pillow a while and then she looked at me and came and crawled up next to me on the couch.

She's a little better today but still sounds like she's got a lot of mucus build up.

I wish I could find something to help my poor Daisy...

Anyway, thanks for listening!

Sorry to hear she is having such a hard time again. I hate when one of our dogs is not feeling well because I just feel so helpless as I am sure you do too. I will keep you all in my prayers.

Megan is having an off day also! I hate to be a nervous nellie, but I feel so helpless so I know how you feel. If I knew what to offer the Beagle tummy god, I would do it in a heartbeat. Daisy and Megan are too sweet for these problems.

I have to clue. I can only hope! She's already almost 4yrs though, so I would have thought if she was going to outgrow them, she would have already. Who knows! Thanks for your concern though

I don't know, maybe. Her problems seem to be year round. We thought maybe it could be a food allergy so she's on a special diet. She's got to be on it another two or three months though before we'll really know. Thanks!

We haven't mixed anything in her food since she's on a special allergen free diet. We're going to give this food two or three months before we rule out a food allergy. Thanks for the advice, I'm willing to try just about anything if this diet doesn't work for her.

I agree! I'm sorry Megan is having a rough day, it must be something in the air.
