Just Curious.

It's just about bedtime for Molly and I and there are times that I regret allowing Molly on the bed at night,I could never turn her away though - my first beagle, Thumper, was the same way she slept right with me; I guess it's just the way I am, she's my girl I hate it when she feels turned out; anyway, most times she will just curl up around my feet; though sometimes she has to get right in the middle! But mostly it's the times when she starts her "getting comfortable" routine and goes round and round kicking up covers until she is comfy; and I usually let this go on until she's done, unless I'm really tired then she gets a "alright already lay down" and she does!

So I was just wondering how many if any - go through something similar or even close to this? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sleep.gif

When Shiloh was a puppy he was the same way! They give you your alloted space(usually about 2 Feet)and rest of bed is theirs and if you should happen to have to get up(go to bathroom)you may comeback to find less space. I fell out of bed one night but swear he pushed me ! :rotflmao:

When the Twins sleep with us (about 6 out of 7 nights!) we are at their mercy cause they take over.

Yeah I might have 13 inch Beagles but they spread out to about 100 feet :rotflmao: and do not care what is lying in their way!

In about 2 weeks they will be ban to the backyard until atleast cold cold cold whether. I might be able to make it through the day without atleast 4 cups of coffee and lots of sodas........from fighting the girls at night for a little room to sleep!

I shudder to think what Snoopy would do if I let him in the bedroom overnight. Destructor beagle!!
Besides the 2 cats already claimed the bed before he arrived and it wouldn't be fair to turf them out. They are being gracious enough putting up with him. One of them is scared to death of hime the other just acts all "cool cat" around him. That's my big boofy Bart. He waits for Snoopy to go out the doggy door...then patiently waiting watinging until he tries to come back in ....then he wacks him one across the ears...Snoopy goes back out...tries to come in...wack!!! Good to see one of them is standing his ground!! Someone needs to put Snoops in his place :rotflmao:

Chloe is doing the exact same thing... and it's not that I can't bare kicking her out of the bed, I like it when she curls up next to me... relaxes me somehow...

She sometimes though step down and continues the night at my feet (on the mat)...

BTW - she has a very comfy crate..... but she usually stays there during the day when she is tired of me bugging her.... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Boeing sleeps with me most of the night. We usually start off with me in the middle and him curled up next to me. But when I wake up, it's often me on one side and him occupying the comfiest spot in the middle of the bed  Sometimes I roll over to find him even resting his head on my pillow, too. The cheeky beag!!!

How Funny :biglaugh: What Great stories! - I thought I was going to be alone on this one! Molly never stays put for long either - and in the morning she will usually have made her way to encompassing most of the bed, and just like you say, no matter who's in the way! After starting out the night all curled up at my feet, she was sprawled out right up against me smack dab in the middle this morning. My fiance says "Your not a moring person are you" he says this to me at 5:30 after I've spent the night adjusting myself around Molly and fighting with her for a little leg room! And I can totaly relate to being pushed out too! :hysterical:

OMG! Razer is that way, he just started to get on the bed by himself, Then Ta-da he wants to sleep right on my head :angryfire: , And take up lag room, and if he don't like the way your sleeping he will bit you to death till you move over. or he will go lick my 2 year old, and get her up so he can have the bed to himself. :eyes:

He is little how much room does he really need /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

Lucky will start some nights cuddling with me on the bed. But I move too much so he ends up leaving and going to his own room. Some nights, he won't bother coming in to get on the bed. He will just stay in his own bed! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Belle will sleep in the bed with me, but since I am a light sleeper I always keep her at my feet. as the night goes on, she'll creep her way up, until she's eventually right next to my head. That in itself wouldn't be a problem except she snores, very loudly. Like I said I'm a light sleeper so the snoring keeps me up, but like so many others, I just don't have the heart to kick her out of the bed.

Béla doesn't like Abby on the bed. He let her sleep with us while I was pregnant because, I guess, he felt bad for me, but now that the baby is here he's back to be a pain about it. I sneak her on the bed whenever he's not around though /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Abby doesn't care if she's laying smack dab in the middle of the bed diagonally. If you want her up most of the time you have to physically push her over or pick her up and move her. There have been many times when I've woken up with my feet/legs on her, or I've woken up stiff in the middle of the night and had to push her with all my might out of the way because I needed to stretch out and she refused to move :lol2:

Jersey sleeps with us but is usually pretty good about sharing. She's always on the bed before us but moves when I tell her to "scoot your butt". She lets me lay down and get comfy. Then I hold up the blankets and she goes under them and curls up by my legs. Like Eleanor, it relaxes me having her curled up by me. Sometimes she'll get restless and if I push her out of my way too often she goes and sleeps in her crate. It's right next to the bed. I can't complain too much. The worst thing is keeping the sheets clean.
