Hi Everyone,

Well, it was a gorgeous day for Beaglefest and what a TON of beagles!! I have created a slide show of all the pictures I took. Let me know if you have any questions on what's going on. Badger and Bella are in quite a few pictures along with myself in two with Badger sitting on top of me by a tree! He wanted to snuggle at the end of the day and BOY was he one warm beagle! Oh and Bella found one of her brothers from her litter!

Enjoy!
Amanda

Thank you for taking all the great pictures. Loved seeing all the variety our wonderful Beagles can come in. I laughed, sighed, oh'd and enjoyed myself through your pictures.

After seeing all the shots I wondered if all the dogs maybe had a single thought, At last, we finally got our own country!

Maybe a Beagle Kingdom!

My Henry can be Henry the IX. They were both on the heavy side and liked to eat. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Mandy,

I was in the Chicagoland/NW Indiana area this weekend with my family. We were preparing for a 50th wedding anniversary next weekend (my parents) so I was unable to attend beaglefest.

I was SO close to you all, and you were in my thoughts! I even mentioned to mom and dad, we should drive up and rescue a beagle during beaglefest as their anniversary present.

Thank you for sharing your great pictures!!!!!!

We were there for a brief time period.... Wednesday had a bad day and was acting very protective. So we left after 30 minutes. I wish we could have stayed later.

Awwwww- all those pretty beagles.

I have a couple questions perhaps someone could answer: where was this particular "BeagleFest?" Anyone know of any others?

I would love to take my 2 lemon ladies to something like this, but I don't trust them off lead. Lemon has a few issues - thanks to a big yellow dog with an irresponsible owner - and I'd want to keep tabs on her. Many of the dogs seem to be enjoying some wonderful off-leash time- I'd want to keep mine on leash.

You're all welcome for the pictures! The "kids" had a good time and I think they finally both recooped today and are back to their normal sassy selfs! :biglaugh:

Beaglefest is held in Park Ridge, IL - A suburb of Chicago. I know there is another Beaglefest for the Mid-atlantic. Here is the link to the beagle rescue. I think it was held in April already, but I couldn't tell you exactly where it was. Maybe it would be close to you. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Or perhaps in the future I may wind up near Chicago about the time of Beaglefest /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I'm originally a "cheesehead", and lived in Chicago for a number of years (Carol Stream, Woodridge, Oak Pak and DeKalb), so thats somewhat familiar territory /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I love pretty beagles /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

A cheesehead!!! All this while I though Badger was named for his rooting abilities! :hysterical:
I call Megan my rooto rooter because of her abilities to get under covers and just figured that Badger had it down to a fine science. :rolleye11:
