Beagle World is a real-time message system/bulletin board that allows for interactive communications with other members of the Beagle World Community. Use common sense when you are interacting, i.e., never accept files from someone you do not know and do not post personal information such as address or your full name in public areas. Considering the real-time nature of our community, Beagle World staff may not always edit content in a speedy manner.

The Beagle World Community is a place for open discussion and the free exchange of ideas. Like the community you live in, the Beagle World Community works best when everyone follows basic standards of conduct. Your privilege to view and participate on Beagle World depends on your compliance with the following guidelines.

By following these guidelines you are helping Beagle World be the best community on the Internet. Beagle World may revoke your registration privileges and/or take any other appropriate measures to enforce these guidelines if violations are brought to our attention, including but not limited to banning. Like most companies on the Internet, we cannot guarantee the ability to connect to our service through your Internet Service Provider (ISP) nor do we have any control over the availability of our service through your ISP. Beagle World is not responsible, nor will we contact your ISP on your behalf, with regard to the inability of your access to our services or sites hosted on our service. You are responsible for your connection through your ISP. Please do not ask to have your account deleted after you have all ready posted. This will leave an ANONYMOUS listing for that posting. If you do not intend to have your account remain on our service then please do not register.

We require an valid email address for your registration and continued use in our community. If you change providers or email services it is important that you change the email address on record at Beagle World. Unlike other services we do not force you to have your email address made public to the entire community for everyone including spam bots to fish for your email address through our service. You have the right and ability to have your email address remain unseen by the other participants of this community. If you have difficulty in registering with your current email address we suggest that you use a service such as gmail.com, a free service, for your registration with this community.

Community Guidelines

As a Beagle World Community member you are entirely responsible and liable for all activities conducted through your account. Only one registered name per person is allowed. Listed below are some, though not all, violations that may result in Beagle World terminating or suspending your account.

By registering a Beagle World Community member name, you agree to use the following conditions:

Dogs and pets do not manufacture, distill, brew, ferment, or make alcohol products. We would appreciate that you do not post, cartoon’s, photo’s, or video’s relating to pets and alcohol on our site. Beagle World is not the place to discuss or display anything alcohol related. We feel very strongly that ALL animals be treated with kindness, compassion and responsibility. Most, if not all of us, consider our pets members of our families. Most of our members are pro spay/neuter and are strongly against backyard breeding. Please keep this in mind when starting or answering threads of this nature.

We do not allow a single user to have more then one identity while using our service. Multiple logins are not acceptable, unless a Beagle World official gives written permission in advance. If prior written permission is not granted, ALL the user's accounts for said multiple individuals would be terminated.

Do not post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, nudity of any kind including cartoon nudity, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, or in violation of any law, or transmit religious or political discussions, or other subjects that could be highly controversial or sensitive. This includes Politicians names, Political supporters, Political party nominations or associations, or any political related group or entity web sites, activities, affiliations, related news articles, news postings, cross message board postings, internet or otherwise petitions or related information pertaining to petitions for such activities for any group associated with these activities.

Do not transmit or post via Beagle World any information, data, text, files, links, software, chat communications or other materials ("content") that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, nudity of any kind including cartoon nudity, racially or ethnically hateful, political in nature, discussion of nudity or sexual content, including that pertaining to sexual orientation.

Do not disrupt the experience in the Beagle World Community or otherwise act in a manner that negatively affects other participants.

Do not post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, items for sale, Stud/Bitch soliciting, selling pets, and/or “Free to Good Home” ads, chain letters, pyramid schemes, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation in the Beagle World Message Board, except in those areas that are designed for such purpose.

Do not post or advertise, in any forum or location in Beagle World, donations with regard to any organization not granted a (501)(c)(3), Non-Profit Organization certification. Beagle World reserves the right to request, at any time, a copy of the organization's (501)(c)(3) certification to verify its non-profit status. Advertising for commercial, (501)(c)(3), or items for sale, in signatures is NOT allowed UNLESS it is pre-approved by or Dave (JAISP Tech).

Do not intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, including but not limited to any regulations having the force of law, while using or accessing Beagle World or in connection with your use of the Beagle World Community in any manner.

Messages that are meant to embarrass, cause distress or discomfort or to antagonize another Beagle World participant, or other individual or group, will not be tolerated. Please speak to others respectfully, and in the same manner you yourself would want to be spoken to.

Please do not post permanent "farewell" or "goodbye" threads. If you need a break from the board, please take a break. Once you have posted on our message board the option of totally removing your account is no longer viable as it would cause us to remove every post you have made as well, all the replies to your posts and those threads listed without a registered user. If you feel the need to remove yourself from our community, please do not post or interact after that point.

Please use caution when transmitting or posting information and take great care when choosing to post any personal information.

Do not impersonate, in Beagle World or elsewhere, any Beagle World member or user, in particular a Beagle World official, Moderator or Administrator.

Beagle World Administrators and Moderators do our best to read all messages posted. However, we are not responsible for the content of any of these messages. The Beagle World staff reserves the right to edit or remove posts and/or entire threads at our discretion. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beagle World, and their agents, with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s).

Beagle World also reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) to the proper authorities in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you.

Be aware, when listing your Homepage in your profile, that this web location must be the web space where you upload pictures, web pages, or any other media in your control. If you list a site or location that is not controlled by you, or a site designed for the sale of goods or products, i.e., a commercial establishment web site that is either yours or another person's, your account may be suspended or edited by the staff and the homepage URL deleted. Do not list anything in this field or area if you do not have a Homepage. DO NOT LIST YOUR HOME PAGE IF ITS CONTENT IS ILLEGAL, CONTAINS NUDITY, OR INFRINGES UPON OUR COMMUNITY STANDARDS. Links placed in signatures need to be approved prior to placing them into your signature. If your link is not approved, it may be deleted. (MySpace/dogster/catster and personal non-promotional pages do not apply.)

Beagle World reserves the right to monitor ALL areas on our servers and equipment for adherence to these Rules or other rules that may be published from time to time.

It is YOUR responsibility to read any changes or announcements posted by staff members, administration, or the site owner. Failure to comply with any changes in rules can result in your account being suspended for non compliance of the rules. We make all changes, additions, and community announcements in the BW Rules, Announcements, and TOS Info area on our message board. In most cases all new announcements are made as a global announcement appearing in every location and forum in the message board.

General Avatar Rules

We do allow the use of avatars on our system if they fit inside the scope of the following rules:

We do NOT allow the use of avatars remotely hosted by other services or communities on Beagle World.

Your avatar MUST NOT be larger then 100 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

Your avatar image MUST NOT be copyrighted to anyone other than you or used by you without permission of the owner. This rule exists in case the image you are using is not yours. You may use your own avatar or one we have loaded in our stock avatar for your profile identity.

Your avatar can NOT contain nudity of any kind, including cartoon nudity.

Avatar Suspension: If you break any of the size limit rules, your avatar will be removed from your profile immediately. You will not be able to use any avatar if your personal avatar is suspended for vulgarity or nudity and your posting privileges will be permanently terminated immediately.

If your avatar is suspended for size and you repost it without resizing, your avatar will be suspended until you submit an avatar in the proper size to a Beagle World Administrator.

If you cannot resize your avatar to fit the size requirement, you may send it to a Beagle World Administrator and it will be resized and returned to you as soon as possible.

If your avatar is suspended for size and you repost it without resizing, your avatar will be suspended until you submit an avatar in the proper size to a Beagle World Administrator.

If you are changing your avatar to an over-sized avatar after you have submitted a regulation-sized avatar, your avatar use will be suspended for 30 days. After your avatar privileges are restored, your avatar will be locked and unchangeable. On the third offense your avatar privileges will be terminated.

The current size restriction is in place for two reasons: 1) over-size avatars take a long time to download for dial-up users and slow computers; and, 2) the large size avatars misalign the table format for the Message Board.

Signature Guidelines

The Beagle World Administrators have decided to enact a strict limit of three lines of text in signatures, NOT including the text in signatures for the games we play. We feel this is more than enough space for an informative/interesting signature while at the same time keeping the board free of clutter and run-on signatures.

Advertising for commercial, (501)(c)(3), or items for sale, in signatures is NOT allowed.

Links to other dog-related forums are allowed but we ask that, if you post a link in your signature in Beagle World, you link to us on your other forum also.

To clarify what we mean by "three lines of text" we mean three consecutive lines of text.

Jamie and Abby

Arroooo from North Carolina!

Abby is a red and white, almost three year old beagle I've had since she was three months old.

Guidelines for Posting Photos

When posting photos for others to see, please keep in mind that photos cannot be larger then 650 Pixels Wide in all forums except the Large Photo forum. Large Photo Format Forum limitation is 1024 Pixels Wide by 768 Pixels High in size. If your photo is larger than the size limit then it will be moved to the Large Photo Forum by a Beagle World staff member. We do not allow the use of out side photo hosting sites or use of the tags in our service but we do allow you to upload the photo(s) onto our server by using the “File Manager” located in the “Full Reply Screen” posting area. If the photo is to large you may edit the post and delete the original photo and re-upload the proper sized photo on to the server. If you are not sure how to resize a computer image or photo, please ask some one as we will be happy to help you. There are no exceptions to the size limit rule. Do not post any photos you do not have permission to post or are taken by another person. Sometimes a photo is posted that is so unique that someone may ask to use that photo for another event. If you allow any photo to be used in its entirety or part, do not expect it to be temporary as, once an allowance is issued either verbally or in writing, the agreement is permanent. When posting photos please keep in mind that other users may cut and paste or copy your photo from the posting to show others. Also, keep in mind we do not control the internet or its users and are not liable for your content posted through our service or message board system.

Suspension and Termination Notice

Failure to comply with the rules and guidelines will result in the suspension of your privileges in our community. In most, but not all, situations, we will follow the set suspension order listed below. However, in some rare cases, we will suspend your account without warning on a permanent basis if the infraction warrants same. Beagle World Administrators decide what is warranted and when.

First Offense: Warning in a Private Message or Email. (Minor first offence ONLY)

Second Offense: 30-Day Suspension.

Third Offense: 90-Day Suspension.

Fourth Offense: Permanent Suspension

By registering on our service you have agreed to all the terms set forth and agree to also abide by any changes made to these rules from time to time. ALL changes or additions are posted in the BW Rules and TOS Information forum on our site. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in suspension or termination of your member account on our service, also Beagle World is not undertaking any obligation or liability relating to any content or activities posted in the Beagle World Community by you or others within the community or related materials posted on community member's web sites.
