well, lena had her first experience with the emergency vet this weekend. halfway through the day on saturday, she became very lethargic. she yawned uncontrollably and arched her back a lot. it was clear that something was wrong with her. i looked her symptoms up online and thought it might be some kind of bowel obstruction. we took her to the vet, but once we got her in the place, she was too distracted and keyed up to demonstrate any of her symptoms. we agreed to take her home and bring her back in the morning if she was still in bad shape.

thankfully, lena woke up on sunday looking a lot better. she proceeded to poop five or six times that day, way over par for her.

Poor little Lena. It sounds like she is feeling better. Since she pooped more than usual, it makes sense it was bowel obstruction.

Gentle hugs to little Lena

The poor thing. I know I am not my best when I am blocked up either, but glad to hear things all came out okay in the end.

It's good to be safe than sorry when taking them to the vet.

I'm glad Lena turned out to be OK. Emergency vets are not fun!
