This morning I awoke to high-pitched cries at 4 a.m. I jumped out of bed and didn't know what to expect. Jake was whimpering and he seemed to be chewing on something. To make a long story short, he had gotten hold of one of the spring loaded clips that I use to lock the door of his crate. He had started chewing it and spring loaded part got his tongue! No injuries thankfully, but one relieved papa and scared little Beagle boy! Just goes to show that I can't leave ANYTHING lying around the house ANYWHERE! Thankfully he stays in his crate with lots of safe toys when I am not home!

Hey, 4 am is the perfect time to get in trouble! Everybody is fast asleep, so I can do what every I want. The little devils constantly keep me on my toes. Austin, once, at 3 am heard thunder and crept under our bed. We never heard him. The storm passed and he could not get out. Talk about things that go bump in the night. We had not idea what was going on!!!

Yep, the best ones are when they quietly get up to something and you have no earthly idea what's going on. Glad he's ok, though!

Oh I feel for you both. I have heard that distress scream from a beagle and it makes your heart do wierd things!
So glad Jake's okay. Hope you are too!

Zelda got her foot caught in one of the bars of her crate one day. Probably tried to escape.

Glad Jake is okay!! I bet he got tons of kisses afterwards.
