Hi, just wanted to know if you know of any real life true story books about beagles ?

I have read 'A DOG CALLED PERTH' by the author Peter Martin. This is an extrodinary story about an amazing beagle and her life. This is a fantastic read for all beagle lovers who will fall in love with her and be amazed by her exceptional personality. I could not put it down.

I have also read 'FOR BEA' by Kristen Von Kreisler, this had to be found through international library loans as it is an american author, again a lovely story about an ex lab beagle. You will fall in love with her.

Also, what the dog did next by another america author.

But anyway, just wanted to know if anyone had read these and if you know of any oter titles that i can get. I have read the three dog bakery as well and loved that, but prefer it to be about beagles.

can you let me know if there are others ? there is nothing in the uk, that i can find ?

I read A Dog Called Perth. Oh, it was such a wonderful story! And even though it had a pretty happy ending, I couldn't help but cry!! I was so touched by that story! I couldn't put it down, either!

I probably won't read anymore, though! I just can't take it! No matter how happy the story, I always cry at the end!!!!!

oh i know, especially the bit where near the end they had to go back to America for a while and thought that as she was so old, they may as well get that lady to get her put to sleep. Then when they finally got home, finding out she was still there. god, i couldnt stop crying........

have you read For Bea ??, thats lovely too, i love a good old cry, LOL x

But, yes, that part was so happy and sad at the same time!!

Perth is a great book for any beagle lover, but like pretty much all books about someone's pet, they pretty much all end the same and ya just have to know that going into it!!!

I haven't read For Bea. I don't think I could handle another one!! I say the same things about movies. If I spend money on it, it better make me smile - LOL!!!
