Jen, sorry for you. There's a couple of reasons for this though. First she is used to going to Doggie Day Care and being on her own with other dogs without you and second is the barametric pressure with our cold front. Cecil and Brandy were really weird on Thursday when they got home from doggie day care at the vets. They were angry with one another. I figure something happened between them. One of the gals called (they call the next day after having them there whether or not it's day care or boarding} anyway she wanted to know how they were. I told her that Brandy was being very alpha and Cecil was jut plain being a little bitch. I asked if anything different went on at day care and they said no that the girls were their usual good girls. They love having them there and get played with a lot. Now they are over that, but this weather has generated a lot of changes in nature and all the cretters that roam at night, bunnies, armadalos, racoons, lizzards, possums and so on. We tend to get a lot of scenting on our morning and evening walks. Cecil has gone into tracking mode twice with high pitched yelping and smelling like a horse/pig routing combination. We allow that in our yard, but they cannot do that on the walks. Lots of stopping to walk "nice" not pull situations. Barking in the playpen at squirrels and a bunny if he hops by during the day as we have one that does. Beagles are very into thier born instincts as this type of weather is hunting time. It's nice to have our beagle friends who value our surroundings and get such joy and pleasure out of each day. I bet Jersey was having the time of her life. You might need a vacation break one day and let her do doggie day care. Just a thought.
