Chloe had her first ever annual vet checkup and vaccines. They only had her up for Rabies and wanted me to come back in a month for the other shots, but I asked them to do it all at once. No reason to visit the vet if it's not necessary (I think)!
The vet loved her, apparently he was the one to spay her in September. He was very professional and explained what he's doing. Her coat is perfect and shiny
, her teeth are in good condition, but he wanted me to brush them at least 5 times a week and not once a week (I said okay: hey, who am I to argue), her muscle tone is excellent, she is not underweight and is in no way overweight. He asked me if she is limping and I said: No, why? He said that he felt a very very minor something (didn't get the term) in her knee patella (huh?). He emphasized that this will not affect her in any way in the future, and if she is not bothered with it now, he doesn't think she ever will be.
She got 4 shots and I also got a 12 months supply of Interceptor for her. I also got a health certificate for the Delta Society (saves me a trip there again in a week or two) for her therapy work (assuming we pass the evaluation) and that was it.
A little over $200 later, we were on our way home. I decided to walk back instead of taking a cab, and it was great
. The sun was shining, the temp. was great, Chloe enjoyed the walk, and I was happy to know I have a perfectly healthy little monster
