At what age did your puppy first get a rabies vaccination?
I went to sign Mugsy up for puppy kindergarten and they said he had to have it to be in the class, but the vet previously said he would like to do it at 14 weeks or so. The class is open to puppies 8 weeks and older, and the lady said they all have to have the shot. I thought they always waited until they were a little bit older, but I could be wrong.

My vet gives first shots at 8 weeks, then 2nd a month later - rabies vaccine is given with final puppy shots a month later. So 4 months (16 weeks) is about right. I know some breeders that start their vaccines at 6 weeks - but my vet is adamant - no sooner than 8 weeks - he says anything earlier than that is a waste of time and money - and doesn't do any good and I trust him completely.
