So, I didn't have to work today, but my husband did. I decided to meet up with him at lunch time and go to the mall, have lunch, etc. Anyway, I got home a little while ago and guess what I found??? One VERY fat Daisy and a somewhat chubby Rocky. You see, we have two different foods for each dog. Each food is in a separate plastic tub WITH a lid that snaps on. The tubs sit on the bottom shelf of a bakers rack in the kitchen. Apparently, they somehow pulled/pushed one of the tubs (Daisy's) off the bakers rack, pushed it into the living room, knocked it over, and got the lid off!! They then proceeded to gorge themselves on her food! I don't think Rocky ate as much as Daisy but she sure has a belly on her now!! I called the vet just to make sure there shouldn't be a problem and they said as long as she's drinking and going potty she should be fine. If I take her in they'll do an x-ray, etc... But she's acting pretty normal so I'm just going to keep an eye on her. What a trouble maker! I wish I had taken a picture of the turned over tub but I was so busy trying to get the dogs out of the food I didn't think about it!

Funny! Lilley is trouble. We also have a very well behaved, well mannered 3 y/o Eskie. We have been told by vets we are very lucky she is the way she is because Eskie's are iffy dogs, some can be mean and snippy. Anyway she's the good one. Lilley (beagle) is 5 months and is corrupting Shelby.

They both get into the garbage. We dont use baby locks on the doors and I refuse to, I hate them. So now we put velcro down the edge, that worked but somehow the 2 of them can now get it open. Also they were both outside for quite awhile today and I heard loud howling fromt he both of them, very odd, I opend the door and what do I find? A proud Lilley standing there with a squirrel in her mouth, still living, she gave it to Shelby who played with it awhile, Lilley took over then played with it until it died. Now I know where the pile of mice and moles come from! We live in the country so we have all kinds of critters.

That's so crazy about the squirrel! I don't think mine would know what to do with one if they caught it.

We had to buy a new trash can because they kept getting into our older one. Since we've gotten the new one though we've had no problems.

Its amazing how much they can eat, little gluttons
Cole has just learned how to open the lid on the garbage, time for a new garbage can!

I dread the day when one of my beags gets a squirrel. Rosccoe is likely to do this as he is always on squirrel patrol outside.
