Since winter, Murphy has been losing weight (but not his appetite), sleeps much more than usual, and has lost muscle mass and coordination in his hind legs. We hoped with the warm weather things would change, they have not.

We took him in for his monthly CBC (blood check for his leukemia) and had his vet look him over. She had a few more blood tests run and did a chest x-ray. She said his breathing (on inhales only) seemed slightly labored. Normally we don't feed him prior to a vet visit, this time Frani did feed him. So that made the x-rays harder to read. But there seems to be a mass in his upper chest. Because he was stuffed with food we can't be sure. So after the test results come back, he will have to have more x-rays after a 12 hour fast.

More to come. Keep your paws and fingers crossed...

Sounds like Goober...But as long as your beag is eating ... He/ She has a fighting chance! (Once a beag permanently loses their
appetite),(All bets are off)! Goober is still eating...but
sometimes he will only peck at his morning meal only to pig-
out in the evening! The deer trimming casserole is what he &
Homer are feeding on now, but I have plenty of bacon & ham
products to keep him active to live another day!!!

Thoughts and prayers are with you and Murphy and your whole family. Positive vibes are headed Murphy's way and hoping to find nothing harmful on the next x-ray.
