I got my beagle a year and 1/2 ago. She was 6 weeks old. We have 2 dogs already and begged my husband for one more. We both had always wanted a beagle. He gave in. She is the best dog. She has such a wonderful personality. Alot of people were telling me bad things about beagles. I bought a book and did my research. The only thing that scared me about beagles are they are escape artists. Well, luckily, we like on 3 1/2 acres which is all field and is fully fenced in. Having 2 other dogs helps keep her from escaping. She got out once and snuck back in the yard. She hasnt escaped since. She grunts, groans and moans like she is talking to you! She loves the other 2 dogs we have. When our lab had puppies (Hailey was 7 months old), Hailey played a serrogate mother to the puppies to relieve Britney so she could have rest. She cleaned the puppies and kept them company. When they started climbing over the gate, Hailey picked them up and put them back. Hailey loves to hunt gophers and moles. Whenever we ask Hailey where the gophers are, she runs at the holes and pounced at it like a cat. She is also great with kids. She is a lover and has to wake you with kisses and also has to give kiss when sitting on the couch looking at TV. Sorry I made this so long.....I could go on and on about all the great things about Beagles in general but see most of you all know already. Thanks for reading! :wave:
Oh yeah one other thing....she has a nickname: WiggleButt....LOL....she'll come running across the yard to see us tail wagging and butt wiggling, same when we get home from work, she will great us walking sidweays and butt wiggling...too cute for words.
