And from Henry and I, a Happy and Healthy 2008 to all of our friends on Beagle World! :happyhappy:

Question...for money and good luck, does anybody here have to have black-eyed peas and cabbage on New Years Day? I have to run out and get some tomorrow...can't start the New Year without it.

Denise, black-eyed peas and cabbage? I guess that's part of me being new to the american treditions....
Eleanor, it's a Southern tradition. We also include ham, which I recently read signifies looking forward to the new year, and a pig cannot look behind, only ahead. (That's news to me!)

Anyway, Shiloh and I want to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and peaceful 2008! See you next year!! :hyper:

Happy New Year to all the BW beagles and their humans! Hope everybody has a safe and happy holiday.

We do black-eyed peas on New Year's Day, also. I read that they are supposed to bring good luck for the coming year. I figure it can't hurt to try!
