I found out today that Mizu came from a 15 inch female and 13 inch male. So that would explain why his body seems a bit longer and he towers over the other 13 inch beagles that live near us.
I always thought to myself "gosh my beagle is sooo overweight compared to them and so much bigger!" Mizu is a little on the chubby side.
I would always look at Mizu and ask him " Mizu are you a 15 inch or 13 inch ?" Haaaa..
The previous owners of Mizu told me that he was a 13 inch beagle.
Well I was able to get a hold of the breeder since I had the original bill of sale. Anyways she told me that Mizu was one of the beautiful ones from the litter. Also that he looks alot like his mom except she does not weigh as much as Mizu does. We are working on his weight by the way /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif . She also said that males tend to weigh more then female ones.
So what is the correct way to measure him ?
