Default In Memory of Sam

Sam was our first pet/child. We got married and got Sam. He had many names, Sam, Sambo, Sammy. We were like the 3 Muskateers. Sam lived to be 14. We adored him. He was a wild and crazy boy as a youngster. Then as he got older and calmer he was very loving and understood everything we said and felt.

Here is Sam as a young fella:

He was a beautiful boy:

And here he is a dignified older gentleman:

Aww-www, bless him. It's bittersweet to remember our Bridge pets, but also uplifting when we think of all they brought into our lives.

The pictures are a wonderful glimpse into your life together, as Sam matured.

Fourteen years together.....sounds like a long time, but it goes so quickly!

Oh Sam...your eyes went from mischief to wisdom. I know that you know how much your mommie and daddy love you.

Thanks for sharing Sam with us.

Thanks for sharing Sam's pictures with us. I really like this section. It's nice to have a place to pay tribute to those who are waiting for us at The Bridge.

Karen and I, by choice, never had children. We’re now pushing 50. (Ok... I’m pushing 50.) Sadie is our first real “baby” . We’ve raised several cats from kittens, but it’s just not the same. Our previous dogs were adult, rescues. A wolf-mix that needed a home, and several retired racing Greyhounds. I’ve read about “the trials of owning Beagles” here, and feel for every one of you that have been through, or are going through trials right now. Our day will come.
When our favorite Greyhound passed, I said that they don’t live long enough for how attached you get to them, and I told myself that I’d never give that much of my heart to a dog again. Then came Sadie. This thread about Sam made me realize how special it is to be able to experience the whole life cycle of a beloved pet, and then to be able to start all over again.
Right now, these are good times for us. I will always remember them. Sadie caught her first rabbit, was the “Breed of the Month” model in the local “Pooch Press”, and is learning how to share Dad with his new flock of chickens... And that's just this past week!

This is Tyrone. He Was the greatest...

Karebru,

All of our beetles and now seeing Tyronne's photo...just shows how special hounds are.

Tyronne looks so beautiful and graceful. How long ago did you loose hime and how did you come to have him?

Maybe a new post just for him in this thread...
