Totally illegal where I live except at events held in certain parks. Thankfully I dont think any public displays are near me. Ill keep the windows closed to buffer any noise just in case.
What if you put a cotton ball in the ears?

I was hoping it would rain! I know, I'm evil. They legalized fireworks in my area a few years ago and it's been a nightmare ever since. The dogs are already terrified of storms, now we have to add fireworks. Hope we all have a quiet one!

Boy they better not have fireworks here after the horrible fires we had. I was driving up the road and noticed one of the multimillion dollar houses that burned was close to completing reconstruction. It came too close for comfort.
Hope 'ya have rain!! lol

Well somebody near by shot off an illegal rocket and made noise. Cassie woke up and ran around in the house barking and howling. It took awhile to calm her down. I was so mad and decided if it happened again I would just send Cassie out so she could give those people a full throated beagle...grrr
If I heard anymore I was going to call the sheriff since we've been through a serious fire recently. We dont need another disaster.

We kept the house shut up, with the air conditioner on and the fan on always on. That kept Rascal settled down. She was fairly agitated there for awhile. I finally got her on my lap and held on tight until Dave got home and then he took over!
No illegals like the on very bad year!

I live by a park with a public display. That wasn't as bad as my neighbor who had to shoot off the very loud illegal ones for an hour. Autumn was a bit upset but my Golden was really scared. She kept trying to hide under something. I tried holding her tight and telling her it was ok. Neither would go potty and were really scared when we tried to take them out. Finally after 11 we ran out when it was quiet for a minute. My husband yelled out the door. ENOUGH! Goodness some people are so dumb.

Its hard to believe someone would shoot an illegal firework when we barely survived a horrific fire just 6 months ago.
Why should we try to stop our dogs from barking? Send them out and give the neighbors an ear full!!
