Default toy suggestions

so, in 6 months, i have bought enough toys to erase the national debt.

they LOVE tug/rope toys. i have yet to see even one of them last more than 18 minutes. i actually timed a few of them.

plush toys? they love those too. toss one on the floor, and in 5 minutes, puffs of white stuffing are everywhere

tire toys? 15 minutes or less before i am taking away peices of toy they might swallow.

balls? only the kong ones survive. i have a bunch, they like to play fetch, but only indoors. tennis ball type toys are ripped to shreds in no time. especially the fuzzy ones. i tried taking the fuzz off of one first. it was in dime sized pieces in less than 20 minutes. about once a week, i go around the house and gather them up from under the couch, behind appliances, etc. then it starts all over.

we need more than just kong balls. (that just sounds weird)
anyone have suggestions? links would be helpful

These are lots of fun for beagles because they can use their noses and paws. I put kibble in ours and they have fun. They are getting old now but when they were younger they loved treat balls

lol! My Beagle isn't a big toy girl. My Golden loves to destroy them as well. I have had success with the Nerf ones.

They both like these. I take them away when they chew bigger pieces off.

I was going to say, not a beagle, but Agis LOVES his treat ball. Xerxes is also obsessed with it.

Aside from tugs, Xerxes (and Agis) LOVE those crinkle toys - they're like stuffies but flatter and with crinkly stuff inside.

We have something SIMILAR to this which is very popular and I don't understand how it's lasted: https://www.petsmart.ca/dog/toys/bal...ml?cgid=100479

Some GSD people like Jolly balls, I believe they're supposed to last? I don't have personal experience though: https://www.petsmart.ca/dog/toys/bal...ml?cgid=100479 I thought they came in different sizes?

my little sister got them a fox with that crinkly stuff. it literally just went kaput a couple days ago. i've asked her where she got it, but she doesn't remember. i've tried a few here and there, and the ones i've picked up didn't last 5 minutes.

i just realized, i've been timing how long the dog toys last for a while now, i feel a little weird

We got a crinkly fox at PetSmart...if you have one near you. For some reason, it and a crinkly rabbit are lasting...other crinkle toys have not lasted at all.

Heh, I time that too, more or less! Most indestructible toys are not!

Oh! My Golden loves that ball toy. My husband actually ties a rope to it and we play in the yard with her. Good choices!
