Default Dry Food Suggestions

I've been feeding our two Beagles Blue Buffalo for years. About two years ago I switched to Grain Free and recently I heard through my Vet's office that it is not good for them, so I switched back to Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Healthy Weight Dog Food - Chicken and Brown Rice. I had forgotten why I had switched to Grain Free but now I am reminded it was because they had terrible gas!

Just wondering what my other Beagle parents out there feed their dogs?

I have my beags on Fromm kibble and canned food. Very good food, no recalls. Oliver eats all dry and Molly has mixed because she has a hard time eating kibble.

They have a frequent purchase program too, buy 12 bags and get one free.

The big food topic. It's a mean hot one on my Golden Retriever site. Here is a link about grain free.

It's mainly for the bigger dogs and I'm really suspicious if you actually read the reports.
Anyways. My Beagle eats grain free Natures Recipe as it's the only food that didn't have any of her allergy trigger items in it. My Golden eats Fromm Adult Gold. I also tried the Fresh Pet on my Beagle. It is a good food as well. Had some ingredients in it that she couldn't have. I would suggest Fromm or Fresh Pet.

i feed my dogs Farmina Natural & Delicious Chicken Grain-Free Small & Medium Breed Puppy Formula Dry Dog Food. it doesn't have the peas and lentils etc that vets warn about in the article posted above. it ain't cheap, but if i buy the big bag, it works out at just under $1/day for each dog. i also supplement their food with occasional upgrades like a scrambled egg, or if i have leftover baked chicken that doesn't have marinade/sauces or spices.
when i cut up veggies for beef stew i always give them a carrot or two, and a small piece of celery. they also LOVE peeled apple chunks. i only give them one or two though. i made the mistake of giving them a small amount of milk once.
the farts were noxious!!!

i look forward to jan 1st. that's when i can switch to the adult food, and the price drops by $30/bag
Try looking into that place where you dare not look. You'll find me there, staring back at you.
