Talking Watch Out Cassie!

We had a gully washer of a lightening storm yesterday afternoon. I rained (briefly) buckets.

I would say it rained cats and dogs but I wouldn't want to insult everyone here It's sprinkling here now.

I sure hope the power doesn't go out again this afternoon for 3 hours. Hubby and I had to eat a cold dinner

Wow sounds heavy. You made me just check our weather predictions for the next 2 weeks, sunshine and low 80s. I finally finished fixing my "boho chic" and buddha zen patio decor and would be sad for it to get drenched. I would have to get out all the covers...I think rain now may not be coming for awhile. Since I have 2 refrigerators we're well stocked for food... my granddaughter says we're coming to your house for food if needed in an emergency...lol. but electricity is the key to cook'n.
Techie, hope you dry out!

Typically we're pretty much over rain in SoCal until fall...we'll see. The hills already turned brown, it was beautiful for awhile.

We've been going through a heat-ish spell (kind of; it's been a cool spring/summer thus far). Up to around 30C before humidity. Not sure what that is in F.

I know, it will get very hot in Aug/Sept. I went to pick up a dress I ordered from a department store...it was a good color, it was a perfect fit, it was a great style...but when I tried it on I was so disappointed...the fabric was so heavy...not California friendly at all...sadly I returned it.

I would too! I am currently wearing a nice lightweight knee length summer dress (with a cat draped over my shoulders, the jerk )
