I do believe though that teaching your dog appropriate way is hugely important and can be successful 😊

I also believe, since there are 3 of us looking after ther dog (mainly myself and my son who is 10 next month, my husband works contracts), and yes, safety of myself and my son's is a priority, we need to teach Arya and ourselves how to play, tug n war, chewing, biting etc. Just like that example in the blog post you shared, Cassie, it just shows that it doesn't matter whether it's a child, adult, elderly, the dog needs to be taught and understand what we mean. And I can see already that is a very hard thing to do.

And that's what we are working on at the moment.

This may or may not help you but it is working great for us with our 10 week puppy. We started hand feeding her once a day, and she is being really gentle with us.
