unknown dog deserving remembrance
On a busy highway in Houston, TX a small white/tan dog was lying down on a lane scared and confused. We were able to spot it, despite it's small size and swerve away. However, the car behind us didn't, I watched helplessly as the dog spun in circles from the impact. With the speed limit at 65 and people usually going 70-75. I couldn't watch as cars continue to speed down the highway and cried all the way home and now as I type.
If she/he belonged to anyone or was a stray. I want to express how sorry she/he had to go like this. I really hope she/he did not feel any pain and is in a better place.
I'm still kicking myself for not being able to spot her/him earlier, if so, maybe I would have been able to save him/her.
May you rest in peace little one. I will always remember and love you, as if you were one of my own.
