Hey Shelly
Awesome pictures of Ashton. Glad to hear he is enjoying his class. It's a lot of fun. Are you going to try agility classes with him? He looks like a natural and best of all its looks like he is having fun.

I'd like to do agility classes this summer. I don't know if we'll compete. We do it more to wear him out than anything else. He definitely loves doing it. I'd also like to get into tracking. When he's older we want to get him into a therapy dog program. Our vet and his trainer think he'll be a good candidate. He's definitely a character.

Thanks! He's a smart boy, but he doesn't always make it easy. I've ad to be very patient with him at times. He's known as the class clown because he gets everything so quick and we have to wait for the other dogs to catch on, so he gets bored and silly.

I've taken agility classes with Mae for four years and will never compete her. We do it solely for fun. Now Lena she will compete this spring. I've never competed before so it will be a first for both of us. Lena been doing agility for less than a year and she loves it. She howls while running and especially while running the tunnels. It's a hoot.

Some action shots from playing in the backyard today. He really loves agility. Next we're going to try tackling the weave poles.

Good luck with the weave poles. They are a pain for Lena right now. I'm running her with guide wires to help her. She ran a 19 obstacle course at class tonight flawlessly. It's hysterical when she howls running thru the tunnels.

The pictures of the jumps are beautiful. I love the ears taking flight. He looks so happy.

Thanks. He's taken to the hurdle and tunnel so well, I'm hoping we' ll have the same luck. I'm also thinking maybe tackling the dog walk first since he likes to walk on curbs like a tight rope walker.

Are you taking or planning on taking agility classes with him? I was doing a lot of homework with Lena while I waited for her to get old enough to take classes. I only did no impact training until she was older. Anyhow it was surprising how quickly she learned after joining a class. She is now in an advanced agility2 class. She's doing great but her handler(me) isn't nearly as good !!!
