Hi everyone I'm new
meet Berri who is coming up to 18 weeks old. We are new dog owners and have had Berri with us since the middle of November. She is for the most part a delight and as with all Beagles has the most adorable expressions that mean its hard to stay cross with her. We've started very basic training which work most of the time but never when she is distracted However, tomorrow evening we start Puppy classes which will be a big help for us.These forums have been a great source of info so far and I look forward to your words of wisdom for a beagle novice. Hi I'm also in the UK. We have Brynn who is nearly 4 months. Obedience classes have been excellent and he is coming on perfectly. Where abouts in UK are you?

We're in Bristol. Berri is loving the snow.
We are hoping the classes really help bring her along. She is almost getting drop, she brings a ball to me to throw but 8/10 forgets to let go. Lol. Where are you?

We are in Lincoln. Brynn too had been going crazy in the snow.
Brynn doesn't like letting go of things he brings to me but I have sussed it now. I take what he has in my left lightly without pulling to hard and I then put his fav treat under his nose with my right hand whilst give the command "leave it" (or any command you want to use). He immediately lets go now when I tell him to leave it and no longer need the treat. Hope that helps Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |
