Hi everyone!

I foster dogs through one of the rescues here in Minneapolis, and fell in love with one of my fosters right away and ended up adopting him . The rescue listed him as a shepherd/corgi mix, but when I took him to the vet he said he definitely has some beagle in him, but no clue what else. Some people think he's a puggle, but I don't. The color is right, but not his face and body. So it's a mystery, but I still love him! He's only 6 months old, and was not housebroken when we got him. I taught him to ring a bell when he needs to go out, and he's got that down! He's so smart . He lives with a kitten (whom he loves to play with) and a 150 lb Great Dane who we're fostering right now. With him being only 15 lbs, it's quite the size difference.

Well here's a picture of Winston, and I can't wait to learn from everyone on here!

He had that name when he came into the rescue, and we liked it so much too that we kept it. Everything that I read about the way beagles act fit him for sure. He's such a lover, and he even bays like a beagle

The vet said he saw it in how he hold his back end and his tail. And thanks! We think so too

Congrats on your new addition. He is adorable. Well - the bay is a dead give away. I just adopted a beagle mix too. He doesn't bay. He has the beagle nose, tail, and appetite. I have found that his personality traits and natural hard-wired behaviors are even more telling than appearance in guessing his breeds.

Winston sounds like a very good boy. Enjoy him.
