Beagle owner from NH

So the story goes....I lost my golder retriever after 13yrs took a good 5 years before I decided to get a family dog.

For whatever reason, my son wanted a spotty dog so we decided to buy a Beagle...why not!

Little did we now that our beloved Beagle would turn into a pizza eating chicken robbing hound that loves to break into the fridge and steal pizza from unsuspecting guests....LOL

Despite her sneakiness with food we love her to death.

Welcome Dale! I'm new here too. So sorry to hear about your Golden. We just lost our 14 year old German Shepherd in August. It's tough.

Funny, we have Natty Boh, because of our son too. He wanted a hound puppy. I told him the only way I would get a puppy was if it was from a high kill shelter. Our little guy was on the urgent list. I had him transported from South Carolina to Maryland. He is a mix. Our best guess is Beagle, Brittany and JRT. He definitely has the Beagle nose, tail and appetite. No doubt that Beagles are chow hounds. Not much he loves more than food. Trying to watch his diet to keep his weight down.

I think hounds are awesome additions to the family.
