Hi,
I am the owner of a 17 week old beagle called Darcey. I am looking for some advice if possible. After weeks of wolfing her food down two weeks ago she lost her appetite after returning from a weekend at our friends playing with their springer spaniel. We thought this may have been due to tiredness from too much playing and her appetite did pick up. The following weekend we went and visited my parents who have a cocker spaniel again the appetite went. I went to the vets to have her checked out and all seemed ok and I was advised to give her chicken to get her back on her food, the appetite returned. It has now disappeared again and she is suffering from sickness but is passing stools. I am reluctant to take her back to the vets again as last time they were unsure as to what was wrong. Are there any common issues which i should be made aware of? She was wormed recently, could this have this effect? also would teething cause this? Sarah and Darcey |

Perhaps you could take her to another vet? Since she appears to be ill, I would say that it is important to take her. Has she had any immunizations? Has she had contact with 'stranger' dogs who have an unclear health status? Illness needs to be treated.
