She is awsome, wasnt an inside dog when we got her, took about 2 months to house break her.She dosent run the door when you open it,dosent chew anything, dosent hardly bark, dosent get into the garbage...she is a really really good dog except for pawing at you..it is the worst....I cant understand it,,the only thing I can think of is when you go to pet her sometimes she scows down like you are about to beat her..We love her..she gets tons of loving..has 2 queen beds and 2 sofas a dog hut and bed to crash on but the PAWING needs to stop...she paws constantly while Im on the puter or in the bathroom.,,And WHINES when Im in the bedroom.(kiddie gate in that room) Im not gonna give up on her ever..but ANYBODY have Ideas on the pawing problem?

My grandfather had 2 Beagles when I was a child-mother and son. They both lived to age 16, though one just made it and the other one was closer to the next b'day. They were healthy, happy Beagles and we enjoyed them. You can get really attached to dogs when you have them several years like that.

Sorry about the loss of your pup. And congrats on the new pup.
I would remove yourself for 1-3 mionutes anytime she paws you. Do not look at her, do not touch her, get up and leave to another room and close the door. Come back out if she continues the remove your self. It's tideous but what that does is make what she wants -you- leave. Oppisiste desire she is going for.

Maybe when you come out of the door you can give her a good chew toy like a stuffed kong or something. Good luck.
