Hi all,
my name is Alison, and my boyfriend and I have an (almost) 3 year old Beagle named Sam, and 2 black cats Hal & Apollo. We got Sam almost 3 years ago... he's grown into such a little man. Definitly gave us a run for our money and taught us a LOT about dogs and beagles. I grew up with all kinds of dogs my entire life, my boyfriend... not so much. This was his first, and we could only come to agree on a beagle as a common dog we wanted. well, let me tell you... I learned a LOT about dogs I didnt know before. They are one SPECIAL breed! but after all the heartache (TERRIBLE separation anxiety for the first 2 years or so and relapsing with potty and crate training), we would do it all over again in a heartbeat. We got him from a family breeder in the states (MI) and they flew him up to Vancouver where we picked him up at the airport. he was 3.5lbs when we got him, and now full grown he is about 13.5-14" at the shoulders, and 26.4lbs... and we like to refer to him as being built like a brick s&^t house, hehe ![]() He has grown up so much in the last year, we're so proud of him. He brings so much love and excitement into our daily lives, we would be lost (and VERY bored) without him. He is such a loyal and precious soul, I could never give him up for anything... he is truly our kid like a little person who can't talk and is covered in fur!and alas, the pictures... I've attached a few pictures, Day 1 that we had him @ 8 weeks old, then again @ 3 months, then a year and a half, and 2 years. |

Welcome! I competely agree. Baker has given us a run for our money too!! We're at the 1 year mark, and I wouldn't have it any other way. He drives me nuts a lot, but he is soooo loving. I couldn't imagine life without him now. And Sam is a great looking beagle.

Hi Allison,
we are also in Victoria . We have a beagle/ cocker spaniel cross . It has only been three weeks today since we adopted her and she has already made such a wonderful addition to our family . She is my first dog and I joined this site in hopes to learn as much about her as I could . Its so nice to see someone else from Victoria:
