I'm sure in time she will get better at it, but some days she goes to the door to be let out, other days she cops a squat wherever she feels like it. I'm sure I'll learn a lot here.

My younger girl is 1 and 1/2 and she still occasionally has trouble like this. The problem is that she won't let me know when she needs to go out. If I'm not on top of it she'll just go in the house. Her sister will go to the door and whine so luckily I remember to let them out a lot, but every once in a while I wait too long. Beagles are definitely harder to potty train for me than other breeds have been.

She'll get there!

Welcome to the forum, can't wait to see a picture of the beagle velcro...heehee. My dog, Cassie, sticks to me too and is a sweetie.
So apparently that is not an unusual beagle name. I figured we got more unique after naming the last on Bailey

Well, I love the name Piper. It's one of my favorites.
