Natty Boh's Vet Visit

Well, Natty Boh had diarrhea over the weekend. I have him eating chicken and brown rice today. Fortunately he already had a follow-up vet appointment. I took a stool sample. The vet will send it out, but doesn't believe it is anything. Probably just something Boh ate, because Boh eats EVERYTHING. We are so careful with toys, because Boh destroys them all and thinks they are all edible.

His follow-up showed that his Demodex is MUCH better. Still a few places where the hair is thin. He will continue on the Ivermectin for 2 more weeks. After two weeks, we will stop the Ivermectin for one month. Then, Boh will have a heartworm test. Boh came from the shelter with immature heartworm, so the Ivermectin has been treating the heartworm, as well as the Demodex. Praying that the test will show NO adult heartworms. Lastly, Boh needs to have some teeth pulled. He is "shark dog". He has some permanent teeth that came in without loosing the baby teeth. The baby teeth will have to go, but not before the Demodex and heartworm issues have been resolved.

Otherwise, Boh is in good shape. He is somewhere between 7 and 8 months old. He weighs 21.5 pounds. He will be starting adult food - like y'all told me he could. I'd appreciate some prayers and good thoughts for Natty Boh, that he will soon be Demodex and Heartworm free. And....If anyone has ever had any doggy teeth issues, I would appreciate some input.

Glad everything is ok. I have some doggy teeth issues, he keeps putting them in my arm lol

Here's to hoping all the worms are gone! And you get rid of the 'shark' teeth too.

Thanks Techie! I think Natty Boh must be related to my son. He had the same problem. We used to call him shark boy. Wonder if his orthodontist treats dogs.

I think Natty Boh must be relevant to my son. He had the same issue. We used to contact him shark boy. Wonder if his orthodontist snacks pets.
