Default Red Eye

My 4 month old Beagle has a red eye. It looks like its the part at the corner of her eye. It does not seem to bother her. Is this normal? I have attached a picture, Thanks.

Is this normal for Beagles? I meant to ask the vet but forgot.

Yes it's cherry eye and yes it's a problem the breed has. Don't worry too much, I read that it's painless. When my beagle got this one morning, it scared the crap out of me! My husband looked it up and we got some more information. The advice I took was to massage her eye and gently try to push it in while her eyelid is closed. Luckily, this worked for me! (Although of course, do your own research before you attempt anything.) It also said that you have a better chance of correcting this problem if it's the first time it happens and you react promptly.

Good luck!
