Default Irregular Eating

The first 3-4 days she didn't really eat much. But we've had her on schedule ever since. She was currently on a 7am / 5.30pm feeding. Was great as she'd poop shortly before/at 7am, and again about 30 mins after the 5:30pm feeding.

Yesterday though, she got up...ignored the food and went straight for a toy. She didn't start to eat till about 10am, then finished it up at 11:30am when I spiked her meal. Dinner was at 7pm.

Now today, she threw up in the morning some yellow stuff. I asked this awhile back, and remember it was bile from going too long without food. So I thought she'd be hungry...she totally ignored her food. I thought maybe i've been overfeeding her, and just let her eat on her own. Look at the clock 1pm rolls around. So I tried doing a few training sessions with kibble. Usually gets her in the mood to eat. Got to the point I took kibble from the bowl and she'd eat out of my hand...but not out of the bowl. After about 4 small hand feedings, she dug into the bowl.

what do you guys think? I put her toys away so there's no distractions, but now she just sleeps.

i'm not an expert on a fussy eater... perhaps something more tasty??

i was always told to take food away if they didn't eat after a certain time limit & feed again at the next time slot & if & when they are hungry they will eat, strange to have a fussy Beagle eater!

How old is she again?

Can you try putting her food into one of those toys that she has to roll to get the food out?

I've used the same approach that ArthurDudley mentioned with great success. I've also noticed that during the warmest days of the year both of my dogs (normally ravenous eaters) become less interested in their food and leave quite a bit in their bowls.

almost 6 months. The Kong totally worked to get her eating. But problem was...she'd only eat out of the Kong I mean I kept refilling the kong, and she kept eating from it. But ignored the bowl. thankfully she started to eat from the bowl again yesterday!
