Default Is my beagle pregnant?

Well long story short i adopted a beagle that was abandoned from its owners. My friend being the caring person she is took her in when she found out.She had her for about 4 days then asked if i could doggysit and i did. From that point on she has been my dog.She took her to the vet and made sure she had her shots and had her checked out.She is just a little thing but she is a bundle of joy.The vet said she recently had pups. Her nipples were longer than normal. He also said that she was about 2 years old.My question is ive had her for about a month now and her stomach has grown along with her nipples and her stomach is starting to like a cows with utters.Im wandering if she could be pregnant and maybe the vet missed it.She sleeps alot and recently when ive picked her up by her stomach she wimpers.Im going to get her back to the vet but she isnt going till next week.Thought maybe someone would be able to give me some good advice.

Welcome - your Beagle is so adorable. Maybe your vet could squeeze her in earlier.... I know a week would seem like forever for me if I was worried about one of my girls. What is your girl's name?

I would get her to the vet sooner rather than later.
I have no real experience in the area but i believe dog gestation is only about eight weeks. if the vet saw the dog a month ago and their have been no male dogs around since then i think it is a fair guess that your girl is at least 5 weeks pregnant. (if she is pregnant)
if my vet couldnt squeeze her in, i know i could get a pretty experienced guess from the techs at the counter, just to tide me over till the regular appointment.
congratulations or condolences depending on your feelings on the matter.
and good luck.
