We've got a 10 week old beagle and the dog food we are feeding him is IAMS
Proactive health formula, and it suggests 1.5 cups per day but Beau only eats about 1/2 of a cup. Even after putting chicken broth on it he will only eat about half of the food we give him. Could it be because he doesn't like his food or is this normal for a 10 week old? |

I wouldnt be too concerned at this point, unless he isnt gaining any weight and is looking sickly thin. Those are recommended serving, each breed and dog is different. Dogs usually know when they are full and had enough. If he isnt gaining weight and looks sickly, then I would take him to the vet, otherwise just keep the food there for him.

I agree with Willie the beagle just keep an eye on him. If you do switch food remember to to it little by little not all at once. When bandit was that age we were giving him diamond but he always went real loose. after switching him to blue buffalo he is doing great (firm poop) . By the way the blue buffalo took away his ear mite problem. has not came back since. You can research different foods
