Hi I'm new to this so pls forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong place! We have a 7 month old beagle. So far he has been pretty good: house trained, no longer needs his crate, doing well at puppy classes (although we daren't let him off the lead!). He gets 3 walks a day and usually settles pretty well. Well he had been until this last couple of weeks. He has suddenly started whining all evening and swinging from the curtains we have up in the living area. We have tried distracting him with toys chews but he soon goes back to swinging from the curtains and/ or scratching at the door to go outside every few minutes. I want him to be able to stay with us and settle so dont want to exile him into another room on his own. But, we don't know how to stop him crying at the door and hanging from the curtains. We spend quite a lot of time playing with him and walking him- maybe this is the problem?!
Does anyone have any suggestions?! Please help! |

7 months is a sassy age for puppies. Jayne was doing perfect until she hit 7 months, then she had to question everything she's learned. I'd reset your boundaries and continue to do whatever you're doing for training and don't be discouraged. If you stay consistent, he will accept the rules and settle in just fine.

It maybe because he's reached sexual maturity and there's a bitch nearby in heat ( I could be wrong ). I'm not getting Brynn neutered so could be fun for us in a few months
