Maybe she is a harrier?
How tall do Harrier dogs usually grow? Harriers look like beagles only taller. |

But Harriers are quite rare, especially in the states. The odds that a hunter selling one of his hunting stock as a beagle for $75 is highly unlikely. Plus, Harriers look more like a small English Foxhound than a beagle and Jayne doesn't really have that look to her.

The only time I actually paid for a beagle that I went looking for I paid $60.00. The only other beagle(not from the dog pound) I paid for was Lena. I only paid for her because I knew she would be dead if I didn't get her out of that situation. She was the best $25.00 I ever spent !! Her previous owner ate a pizza that night !!( yes that's exactly what they told me they were going to do with the money).

Wow, in the UK the going rate for a good quality pure bred from a kennel club assured breeder is £800-£1000
