Excessive ear infection medication?

Glad she is starting to feel better! Ear infections are so pesky for our beags.

my pup is just 9 weeks old, but I have noticed an odor to her ears. Especially the left one, and the are rather pink. Is this a yeast/ear infection? Is there a home solution cleaner I can use instead of buying one? Example (alcohol?) Please advise? Also, she licks down there alot, and when we go out to pee, she will pee once, then as we walk around the yard she will squat and pittle a tinnie little bit of pee again and some times do this 2 more times. Is she just pretending to "mark" her treitory, or could she have an infection? I was reading on other threads here, that it could be realated to food allergies????

You should have the pup checked by the vet for the ears as it may be an infection-dont use alcohol. You can get a cleaner from the vet or there are ear cleaning solutions at pet supply stores. Put some of the solution on a cotton ball and clean the folds inside the ear-if the ear is rosey pink there is probably an infection. If your puppy is peeing often and a little each time it may be a urinary tract infection and this should be checked by the vet also. Make sure the dog has fresh water available.

I definitely would not use alcohol in her ears. It sounds like an ear infection that needs to be seen by a vet.
