Wink Cheeky girl

Anybody else have a dog who steals things and then hides them for later...today I noticed Millie scratching at the sofa trying to get under it and once I went looking to see what she was after there was loads of dog chew treats which we've not had since Christmas hiden under the sofa waiting for a later date along with odd socks she must of stole from the washing basket and stones she must have brought in from the garden and toys. Why is she hiding stuff under the sofa? She's a cheeky girl!!

Default Cheeky girl

Very normal behavior !! All of my beagles bury things. One hides things between couch cushions. Another hides everything in our bed covers.
My Belle is especially good at it. Once she endured the invisible fence and took a pair of my husbands underwear to the neighbors. I stood back and watched as she buried them in their flower bed. It was so cute I just had to let her finish her job. I went over later that night and dug them out.

Cassie will dig in her kiddie pool to bury bones. She also digs in the lawn to bury toys and bones-I gave her a nice fresh bone that she buried and covered up by pushing dirt on it---then she wanted to bring the muddy thing in the house- I hosed it off but she wasn't all that pleased with me... she knows where to find treats in her crate sometimes under towels.
