I've only had Max for two weeks but every time people see him, especially at pet stores, they have a hard time believing its a Beagle
Pet store that sold it has paperwork claiming its pure. His brother was tri-color and sold the same day we got Max.Not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm curious if his paint scheme really that rare. I really like the black and brown look. |

I looked up official beagle colors to find out if my dog was a mix or not. I found out that he is a 'blue tick' and not a mix with blue heeler or anything else. I read that beagles can be two or three colors. And the browns can be light, as in 'lemon' beagles. The are red browns, too. Beagles have white tips on their tails, and were bred to have this so that the dog can be seen in the woods when hunting. My dog has 'blue' where ever there is supposed to be white, so his tail is blue.

He is so cute. to me he looks like a ton of pug X beagle crosses I see. very popular mix here. I work in dog grooming, and we get a ton in.
when you buy from a petstore, you never know if the dog is purebred or not. sincedogs from petstores 95% of the time come from big puppy mills/farms. or crappy breeders who only care to make money. I hope you dont support another pet store, even with buying iteams from them if they sell puppies, I dont give them any of my busienss |
