We got our puppy Beagle 7 days ago. She had one more home before ours, and they didn't discipline her, but let her do anything she wants, only thing they thought her was peeing and pooping on a newsletter pad. When I got her I needed to transport her to my town, and there was no other way than to travel by bus and they didn't allow me to carry her with me, only to put her in a cage in baggage :/ So after , she got a cold, and I am currently giving her medicine.
Couple of days she did her "stuff" on the pad, but now she is pooping and peeing everywhere. My question is, is it because she got cold or because she is mad at me and challenging my position ? Because I was reading that owners need to be dominant. So I am doing things to become her master, not the other way around. Sometimes she humps my leg, and she is female. And she gets mad at me when she cannot get her way. But she is also very smart, and I thought her to "sit, give paw and lay down" in only 2 days. What is the problem ? I don't want her to be mad at me, or to be afraid. What do I do ? Please, help

Read up on house breaking, crate training, and using a clicker. Do you have any idea how old she is? Limit her area so she doesn't pee and poop everywhere in your house. I crate trained and used a clicker. It does take time to house break. It will take a lot of patience on your part, consistency is a huge part of success...believe you me. My beag likes her crate-I got a very large one as she out grew the others faster than I though she would.
Post a picture of your new baby and welcome to the forum. If you look for past posts under search you may find a lot of discussion on various topics. |

Yes, I forgot to mention, she is 3 months 15 days old. I do use praise and delicious treats, she really listens when it comes to tricks. But it's really odd that she is humping me and my bf, and I can see that it is not because she is playing but because she want's to be dominant.
Thank you for your advice.

She is just very confused, scared, nervous etc. and needs to learn what you want frm her and what your schedule is etc. Work on some basic training with her - like sit, shake hands, and stay. The more she looks to you for praise and reward, the better she will behave. The potty training definately has to start all over as if it is day one for her.
