My dog is almost 2. When I got him about 8 months ago he was 19 pounds. At the vet the other day he was 30. I have to lay off giving him fig newtons and oatmeal cookies. I can't help it he's my buddie, but I have cut him back to just dog food. It's my fault.

Mae is 26 lbs at 11 inches but my vet was amazed by her. She had never seen a more muscular beagle. She's rock hard.
Pixie is 27 lbs but she's a little taller and sleeker. Lena is 22 lbs at 11 inches. No wonder she runs my butt off at agility. Izzy 25 lbs and I'm guessing her at 11-13 inches Belle 29 lbs but she is a constant struggle. I want to get a couple more off of her. She had TPL surgery on her knees and I really need to keep her weight down. She is a little bigger type of beagle so if I can get her to 27 I'd be happy. Wrinkles is a beagle/god knows some other hound mix. She weighs in at 38 but she's a big hound and my vet thinks she's a perfect weight. I'll only do the hound group before I run out of space Sent from Petguide.com Free App

I'm definitely not a great Beagle mom on this subject since Marley is obese. He used to be quite trim until he started on Ivermectin for his Demodectic Mange. Since then, he's gained about 10 lbs and I was more concerned with his mange getting under control than his weight(not that it's any excuse on my part. I just figured it was the lesser of the 2 evils). However, I am going to take him in and get his thyroid checked. He hasn't lost much weight since I put him on his diet and he gets a good amount of exercise. Anyways, I digressed...
Marley- 14.4" - 37 lbs Horton- he's still growing - 5.8 lbs
