Marshall Beagles?

Hi-
Does anyone else own an ex-Marshall Labs beagle?

I just adoped a retired teaching beagle from school, who originally came from Marshall Labs, and was just wondering what anyone else's experience was.

My little boy is 2.5 years old, and I've had him almost a month. He's so well-behaved, but so un-beagle like! He has NEVER barked, bayed, or had an accident in the house. He eats to live, not lives to eat-not too keen on food in general-unless he's outside, then he likes food much more. I crated him during the day for a while, but he doesn't need it-he doesn't get into trouble at all, never tries to get into the trash or anything-he's even been sitting right next to me on the couch while I eat a steak and NOTHING.

He is more beagle-like outside-he loves to sniff and run, but mostly sniff. He doesn't play with toys or anything-just sleeps and cuddles.

Does anyone else with a Marshall beagle have similar experiences?

Where do I get one!!!???? Dillon is such a little monster most of the time! I wish he was a Marshall Beagle! Want to trade!?

Hi hungry Dillon! I wish a little of you would rub off on mine...he just sleeps all day...but I still love him!

Lily usually scarfs any food I give her down but I tried to give her a treat after I cleaned her ears out and she wouldn't even look at the treat..I think she was going on a hunger strike to say she was mad at the "mistreatment".

wow!!!! I can't even IMAGINE a time or circumstance that would render Dillon unwilling to not only eat, but to eat so fast he literally chokes himself!!!

Marshall farms is a horrible company. Thank you for adopting. We do have a couple people here who have adopted lab beagles.

Lab research beagles are usually debarked, probably that's why you never hear his voice

This may be a valuable discipline tool for Dillon. I am going to start threatening him with being sent to Marshall labs when he is being bad!

Whenever I hear lab beagles, I always think about the Beagle Freedom Project video. The Beagle Freedom Project The Adventures of Allie and Avery Makes me ball every time.

You've done a wonderful thing to rescue a lab beagle!!! :-D He's his own unique little guy and may find his Beagleness one day!
