Default A whining dog

So I know most of here probably own beagles, lol but I have a question regarding my moms dog, a springer spaniel. Whenever my brother (who lives with her) leaves the room or the house this dog whines and whines and whines and it is extremely annoying. My mom has had no success in getting him to stop doing this. Anyone have any thoughts?

If you figure it out, let me know. I have a beagle that whines when l leave him to even go to the bathroom. LOL Funny thing is: he's doesn't whine for my fiance.

Puddles whines for me but NOT like my mothers dog. There's just something about his whine that is like nails on a blackboard :-)

That is just like my Saban! He will whine anytime I leave to room to go in another one, but he won't for my boyfriend. I think he likes me better because I'm his mommy...lol

Dillon makes what I call pig noises. It's kind of a cross between a grunt a whine and a purr!

Holly is doing a LOT of whining at the moment as well. She's just lost half of her "pack" because my boyfriend has gone overseas for 6 weeks. The poor little thing is not happy! At the moment she is alternating between depressed puppy and destructo puppy. It's been fun...

On a brighter (kind of mean?) note...her whining is hilarious! She sounds just like a little kid saying "muuuuuuuum, I'm boooooored" or " muuuuuuuuuuum, where's daaaad?" It's especially amusing when she gets the grumble and huff that sounds just like a teenage "Urgh! You're so mean!" haha

Poor thing...I'm trying to play as much as I can and give her as many walks as she usually gets, but she just wants her daddy!

I'm just trying to continue to praise the good behviour and not respond to the whining...hopefully she'll get over it soon!

I think some dogs are just more vocal. I prefer beagle-chats, much more tuneful and far more interesting, lol. I grew up with a terrier who never shut up - whining/crying. She wasn't upset, it was just her way of talking. We got used to it and really missed the noise when she died - the house was way too quiet.
My shih tzu is actually more vocal than my beagle - she talks all the time and likes to use 'v' sounds, lol... kind of like a vvvvooooo noise. My daughter is convinced she has said "volvo" several times
